Chief of Staff for the Property Department
The Property Department is a division within the university administration at Stockholm University, with overall responsibility for the university's premises and housing, and acts as the university's counterpart to external landlords.
Approximately 80 people work at the Property Department. The department's mission is diverse and complex, with responsibility for strategic planning regarding premises, housing, and security issues, along with associated services.
The Property Department is now seeking a Chief of Staff.

Job Responsibilities
As the Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for leading the office, which is directly subordinate to the department head. The office supports the department's work with financial reporting, follow-up, personnel issues, and communication.
As Chief of Staff, you have full responsibility for the team's work.
You have personnel responsibility for the team's 7 employees. In your role, you ensure that the set goals for the operations are achieved, and you are responsible for financial planning, ongoing reporting, and qualitative follow-up within the team.
In your role as a manager, you lead, support, and create good conditions for your employees' results and development, among other things through clear goals and ongoing follow-up.
You strategically and long-term develop the operations based on the department's overarching goals and work for the whole and collaboration across operational boundaries.
Qualifications
We expect you to have a strong interest in leadership issues and in developing in your role as a leader.
We are looking for someone who:
- has an academic education in a relevant field
- has experience leading advanced financial work
- has experience working in government administration
- has solid experience in analytical work
- has high analytical financial ability
- understands the financial system and Swedish central government administration
- expresses yourself very well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
Your Qualities
As a person, you have high integrity. You have good leadership qualities and find it easy to create engagement and participation. You need to be structured and have the will and ability to take your own initiatives in your work. You have a good ability to collaborate with others internally and externally, as well as to handle complex situations and work to find solutions that unite different interests. In the role, you are required to have good communication skills in both speech and writing, where you can convey your message clearly and effortlessly.
The relationship with various stakeholders is built on reception and trust, and therefore great importance will be placed on your ability to create trusting relationships. You also see your role in enabling change and understanding the authority's desire to drive operations forward at a fast pace. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
About the Employment
The employment is permanent, full-time with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
